We are a consulting structural engineering firm providing services relating to building structures.
One of our major concentrations is in the design of light-gauge metal structures, as principal Ed Sabbagh began working in this field in the 1980’s.
We also provide design services for conventional residential structures to architects, contractors, and homeowners.
Sabbagh Associates has been incorporated since January of 1998. We attribute our success largely to the loyalty of our many repeat customers who rely on our timely and competent services.

Edward M. Sabbagh, P.E.
Owner and President
Ed has served as owner and company president since Sabbagh Associates incorporated in 1998. Prior to that Ed worked for structural engineering firms specializing in building design. Ed became experienced in the design of lightgage metal framing structures in 1985, and Sabbagh Associates has been on the leading edge of the design industry during the decades since.
Sabbagh Associates considers the needs of clients and professional integrity both to be of the highest importance. The company enjoys decades-long relationships with a long list of loyal clients. Ed holds a Batchelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Master’s degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and holds professional registrations in nine northeastern states.
Garrett Hippert
Structural Engineer
Garrett Hippert is a Structural Engineer with Sabbagh & Associates, where he specializes in the design and detailing of steel structures throughout New England and beyond. In his role, Garrett develops structural designs and produces detailed shop drawings that support a wide range of building project types. His technical knowledge and commitment to precision have made him a valuable partner for clients navigating complex structural engineering challenges.
With more than nine years of experience in structural design, Garrett has developed particular expertise in light-gage steel framing. Throughout his career, he has worked on diverse projects requiring innovative design solutions, close coordination with project teams, and a deep understanding of industry standards and construction practices. His ability to combine engineering know how with practical constructability has contributed to the successful delivery of numerous projects across the region.
Garrett’s professional accomplishments include receiving both First Place and Third Place honors through the Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI) Design Excellence Awards. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Garrett earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University. He remains committed to advancing his profession through continued learning and technical excellence.
Garrett lives in Massachusetts with his wife and child. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Suzanne Blanco
Office Manager
Suzanne joined Sabbagh Associates in 2007 as our corporate bookkeeper and has since grown to her current role as Business Manager. She drives our financial strategy and keeps daily operations running smoothly – everything from cash flow to budgeting. Additionally, her sharp problem-solving skills keep workflows running smoothly.
Suzanne works closely with our clients to make sure pipelines are streamlined and efficient. Outside of that, her B.A. degree in Organizational Leadership (plus a minor in HR) gives her a practical read on people and structure, which is an asset when managing our office.
